Adult Day Classes (Ladies Camp)

If you are interested in joining us for any of the following "camp" sessions, contact Donna at 301-774-3510 or email amy@oldsagefarm.com. Please register at least one week in advance. OK Ladies, you’ve been asking for it and here it is—a Summer Camp just for you! After all, why should the kids get to have all the fun? We’ll be doing several sessions with a variety of techniques for you to learn. This year we will try some new techniques. Ever made a faux dichro pendant? Want to try wire wrapping? What about Friendly Plastic? All of these are offered. The idea is to try something new! |
Session One—Polymer Clay
June 16 and 17, 2009, 10:00 am-12:00pm
We will be teaching polymer clay techniques. Even if you have never worked with polymer clay, this will
be the class for you. We will learn the basic techniques to make polymer clay jewelry including canes,
beads and frames. Day one we create, day two we learn wire wrapping with our finished pieces. You can
take either or both days!
Note: Day two is wire wrapping. You can take either or both days.
Session Two—Faux Dichro
June 23 and 24, 2009, 10 am - 12 pm
What the heck is that?? Faux dichro is a less expensive and beautiful alternative to the real thing
(the real thing being fused glass with dichro). You can do this at home, without a kiln!
Day one is creating the dichro project.
Day two is wire wrapping your completed piece. You can take either or both days!
Session Three—Bracelets Made Easy
July 7, 2009, 10 am - 12 pm
Learn many different techniques to make wonderful bracelets!
Cost: $20.00 and up (depending on the project -- many to choose from)
Session Four -- Any Beaded Necklace and Earrings
July 22, 2009, 10 am - 12 pm
You choose any beaded necklace that Donna has made... She'll provide all the supplies and teach you
the technique. Cost depends on necklace chosen -- $25.00 and up. Continental breakfast supplied.
Session Five -- Wire Wrapping
August 5, 2009, 10 am - 12 pm
Learn to wire wrap a pendant. Choose from polymer clay or faux dichro pre-made pendants. We
provide the pendants, you learn to wire wrap them! Lots of fun! $28.00 for your completed necklace and
breakfast. Continental breakfast supplied.
Session Six -- Mystery Jewelry Day
August 12, 2009, 10 am - 12 pm
Join us for a mystery jewelry project!! We'll have several projects for you to choose from -- you choose
the kit and we'll teach you how to make it! $20 and up. Light snacks provided.
