Another GREAT Friday Night!!

Posted in OSF at 10:05 pm by Administrator

Last Friday, we had our most recent Whine and Cheese Night! With our new air conditioning… it was much cooler in the studio! Everyone was very creative and made beautiful projects. We hammered, made peek-a-boo polymer clay and painted on glass!

We made new friends, too! Thanks to everyone who was able to join us. We’re looking forward to the next events.

New (old) Store to check out!!!

Posted in Jewelry Sites We Like, OSF at 10:24 pm by Administrator

Looking for a new place to shop for beads? Check out the Bead Warehouse. All of the information can be found on http://www.thebeadwarehouse.com/.  They are the nicest people! They have a great sale going on right now and they really are there to help you.

Donna and I spent about 2 hours there on Saturday. We browsed, asked some questions, browsed some more, took a break to speak to the beadalon representative and then did some real shopping.

They have weekend hours and some Friday hours. All of the information is on the website.  They have gemstones, glass beads, findings, silver, sterling, gold, chip beads, crystals…  Just about anything you can imagine.  Did I mention they are having a HUGE sale right now?  We highly recommend them!

It’s worth the trip to Silver Spring. If you live in Howard County, bring a friend, go to lunch and make it a day!

Friday Night Classes…

Posted in OSF at 7:17 pm by Administrator

We are working on some Friday night class ideas…

So far, we are thinking of doing a “round robin” type of event. We would offer a few different classes and you could do all of them.

What are we considering:  ”Altered art/decorate” a reusable (grocery cotton type) bag, fused glass and metal work jewelry.  (Just a small project for the fused glass and metal work jewelry.)

This will be a really great night! We haven’t picked a date yet but we’ll let you know.

Did I mention that we’ll have wine and cheese??? (Not much wine, but who is counting?)

Host a Jewelry Party

Posted in OSF at 6:37 pm by Administrator

Old Sage Farm has decided to take our show on the road.  We are offering Jewelry Parties!  So, what is a jewelry party?

Offer your home (or come to us), grab some friends and sell some jewelry.  The hostess will recieve a discount on any purchases that they make and FREE jewelry — just for hosting.  Everyone that attends will receive a gift and a discount for future classes!  Or use it as a fundraiser — we’ll donate a percentage of our sales to the charity of your choice (including schools, churches, or other charities).

Be one of the first to offer this to your friends, co-workers, church or other group.  Interested?  Contact Donna at 301-774-3510 or email Amy at amy@oldsagefarm.com.

www.polymerclayexpress.com

I like www.polymerclayexpress.com because they have a great selection.  They are also a local store and we like to support local businesses.  They’re located in Damascus, MD (about 10 minutes from Old Sage Farm).  If you find items online, you can easily go to the store to purchase them.  (Save on shipping.)

They have many items, not just polymer clay items.  Great place to shop!

This is the place to add your favorite jewelry sites.  There are hundreds (if not thousands) of them out there.  Where do you find the best deals?  Where do you find unusual jewelry?  Is there a site that you get great ideas from?  Help us to share this with others.

When you add a link, please tell us what you use that site for — buying supplies (if so, what are you buying there — beads, tools, etc.), good shipping rates, great ideas or all of the above!
